Timeshare Reclaim and Consulting Review

Timeshareclaim.net is the website for Timeshare Reclaim and Consulting, a Spain-based timeshare exit company that has been active since 2015 and may be able to help you get out of a timeshare.

Timeshare Reclaim and Consulting Website

At first glance, the Timeshare Reclaim and Consulting website looks very professional; it has a clean design, and smooth navigation. The home page has a well-made video that introduces the company and its founder. In some places, the copy is a bit stilted and hard to read; this could potentially be chalked up to it being English in translation, though some of the phrases used did not exactly seem well thought out or meaningful.

Overall there are several different landing pages and sections that give the reader a good idea of how Timeshare Reclaim and Consulting operates, and the results that they’ve achieved with past clients. Specifically, Rulings speaks to cases that have closed and contracts that have been nullified for past clients. The page Exit Plan gives an overview of how Timeshare Reclaim and Consulting works through canceling timeshares. The steps are specific, and the timeline provided looks realistic.

Their “about” section, entitled Know Us, does list their staff entirely, although there aren’t many details or last names, so it proved difficult to find any further background information on these individuals, aside from Maria Martinez, the CO (since her last name is included in the video noted above), and attorney Pedro Miranda Guillén, since it is listed that he works with the associated law firm AB ECO Group.

The professionalism of the rest of the website, unfortunately, is somewhat lost when it comes to their blog, the page TRC News. The content there gets fairly muddled within each post, and is hard to follow. While there could be several reasons for this, the most likely is that it is not a huge point of focus for the website, which is unfortunate since it’s a good means of learning more about the character of a company.

Timeshare Reclaim and Consulting Reviews

While we did not find reviews of Timeshare Reclaim and Consulting on Google, Yelp, or Facebook, the website Timeshare Business Check summarizes some feedback on this company from several people’s contributions. Notably, the page for Timeshare Reclaim and Consulting says:

  • Consumers have reported unsolicited contact from this company. If initial contact was unsolicited – a cold call or email or text out of the blue, it gives rise to concerns as to whether your data has been acquired and used legally. Unsolicited contact by phone, text or email is likely to be a breach of data protection laws and it is recommended that it is reported to the appropriate national data authority.”
  • “This business provides a number of different addresses…mails from this business state the address is Edificio Mercurio Torre I, Av. de Tirajana 37, 35100 Maspalomas, Gran Canaria, Spain — The T&Cs page list the contact address as C / Slovakia 25, 35120 Mogán, Las Palmas — The Infocil site gives the business address for Sakbo Spain SL as C/ Eslovaquia 25, Tauro 35140, Mogan, Las Palmas.”

These notes, while not reasons to dismiss this company outright, are certainly cause for concern. It should be straightforward to determine where a timeshare exit company operates, first of all, even if they have more than one office. Furthermore, unsolicited contact is a major red flag; we do not recommend engaging with companies who approach potential customers, as that is typically a means of taking advantage of and otherwise pressuring them into working together.

The blog Inside Timeshare — one that aggregates news about timeshares and exit companies in Europe — had further, somewhat similar information about this company. Specifically, they noted in a post from Jan. 2019 that a few companies associated with Timeshare Reclaim and Consulting had become notorious for cold calling as well.

  • Inside Timeshare has received information about another Cold Calling company Sim Legal Services, this in itself is not a problem provided that Data Protection laws are adhered to, the problem is the nature of the calls. The company is owned by Jeroen Martijn Brussel…there do seem to be some very serious concerns about Sim Legal Services, with the mention of several other companies they appear to be linked with. JB Legal and Timeshare Reclaim Consulting.”

They added:

  • Timeshare Reclaim Consulting do have a website and are known to Inside Timeshare, although we have never had any concern or reason to mention them in any article.”

And went on to say:

  • “The question is, are the management of TRC aware of the tactics of Sim Legal Services, the fact that they are making accusations against a competitor who is in the same vicinity and happens to be the leading law firm in timeshare litigation, in order to talk clients into signing up with them and then passing them to TRC?”

They then go on to say that Timeshare Reclaim and Consulting has been associated with another company whose practices have historically been questionable, known as Mindtimeshare. Mindtimeshare appears to be another aggregate that once seemed to focus on highlighting fraudulent timeshare companies, but in actuality was run by Alberto Garcia, a now-discredited individual who was also connected to the Resorts Development Organization (RDO). It’s been reported that once Mindtimeshare got people’s information, they passed it off to marketing companies who ended up hounding people with high-pressure sales tactics.

Furthermore, RDO is a resort-funded trade organization that is not only notorious for capitalizing off of timeshare misinformation, but also fairly fraudulent in itself.

The connections there go even deeper; here’s what the article continues to say about it:

  • “In another strange enquiry, we have been asked what is mindtimeshare doing now?

It appears that they have moved on from being a consumer association to something else. Our enquirer has told us that mindtimeshare is actively emailing those who have contacted them and recommending a firm for taking out litigation against clients timeshare companies. Apparently it appears that this company is TRC, mentioned above.”

Reviews of Mindtimeshare on Trustpilot confirm all of the above, and leave them with a 2.4 out of 5 star rating.

Ultimately, considering the history of Mindtimeshare, this association is not only problematic, but also a huge red flag. It’s quite difficult to ignore, no matter how professional this company appears to be on the surface.
